Canadian Investor Lands Far East Dallas Warehouse Hub

A Canadian investor has purchased a large Dallas distribution complex plus additional land next door.

Dalfen America Corp said it acquired Eastpoint Distribution Center, a 419,626 square foot warehouse and shipping property located at 8901 Forney Road near Loop 12.

Built in 1987, the project is fully leased to Shippers Warehouse Inc. The property is located next to a Union Pacific intermodal hub. More than 12 adjoining acres were included in the acquisition.

“We purchased the building and the adjacent land in one of the strongest industrial markets,” company president Sean Dalfen said in a statement. “By adding the land to this building, we have created a virtually irreplaceable asset only minutes from downtown Dallas.

“We plan to significantly increase the size of our portfolio in the DFW area and continue our acquisitions in other key metro markets throughout the country.”

Dalfen – which has its U.S. headquarters in Dallas – has more than 13 million square feet of offices and warehouses in North America.

The company has properties in Dallas, Garland and McKinney.
